David, a qualified chartered accountant, is chairman of Crest Nicholson plc, deputy chairman of Aberdeen New Dawn Investment Trust plc, senior independent director of stv group plc, Renold plc and Superglass Holdings plc, a non-executive director of Martin Currie Holdings Limited and Scottish Financial Enterprise and a governor of the Glasgow School of Art. Mr Shearer was until early 2007 a non-executive director of HBOS plc.
Fabian French (Appointed 2008)
Fabian is managing director of Daiwa Securities SMBC Europe Ltd. He previously worked for Enskilda Securities Limited, Merrill Lynch International and Dresdner Kleinwort where he was most recently global head of TMT. He is currently a non-executive director of Goodenough College, a charitable organisation.
