Mike Wooderson (Chairman of the Management Engagement and the Nomination Committees)
Aged 57, has spent nearly 39 years in the Banking Industry and until recently was managing director of the International Banking Division of the Wealth and International Trading Division of Lloyds Banking Group. He left the Lloyds Banking Group at the end of 2010 to pursue other interests. He originally joined the Bank of Scotland in 1997 from The Royal Bank of Scotland plc.

William Maltby
Aged 51, is a senior adviser to the Investment Banking Division of Deutsche Bank. Previously he was vice chairman of Investment Banking at Deutsche Bank where he worked for more than 25 years as a corporate financier. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Peat Marwick Mitchell and has a law degree from Cambridge University. He is also the chairman of the Tennis and Rackets Association.

David Shearer (Chairman of the Audit Committee)
Aged 51, a qualified Chartered Accountant, is deputy chairman of Aberdeen New Dawn Investment Trust plc, senior independent director of STV Group plc, Renold plc and Superglass Holdings plc, and a non-executive director of Martin Currie Holdings Limited. He recently stood down as a non executive director of Scottish Financial Enterprise and as a governor of the Glasgow School of Art and was previously chairman of Crest Nicholson plc where he stood down following the successful restructuring of that business. He was until early 2007 a non-executive director of HBOS plc.

Fabian French
Aged 51, is director of fundraising of Marie Curie Cancer Care and a non-executive director of Goddenough College, both charitable organisations. He previously worked in senior corporate finance roles for Daiwa Securities SMBC Europe Ltd, Merrill Lynch International and Dresdner Kleinwort. He has a Law degree from Cambridge University and qualified as a solicitor at Linklaters.
